Sleep: Why it’s so important to get at least the quantity right 💤

I have literally NEVER struggled to sleep, besides the occasional sickness that caused lack of breathing (luckily my body kept me up for that).

But seriously.....I don’t know how I have maintained to have such a healthy relationship with sleep. My grandma raised me in a house where it was silent. Sounds never bother me. In fact, my darling husband 95% of the time gets up with our children in the middle of the night and I had no clue.

He might wish I wasn’t a good sleeper ☺️

Ranting done...on to some solid, science backed advice.

Our bodies regenerate, recuperate and revitalize all while we’re SLEEPING! Aren’t our bodies so amazing?!!!?! Our bodies need 7-8 hours of sleep a day (with teenagers and babies being the exception). We don’t need more and we shouldn’t try to sleep less in an effort to get more accomplished.

Every hour you chinch of sleep, your brain is effected the same as intaking one alcoholic beverage.

Are you getting enough? Take the challenge this week and log what time you go to bed and what time you wake up. Keep track of your productivity and mood that day too. You’ll be surprised with the correlation!
